Getting big

It crept up on us, but Reid turned two and a half last week! ...and all of a sudden, 4 years old seems so grown up too.

They are growing up so fast! I have had several moments this week when I've looked at both of them and thought "you are so big. How did that happen?!"

She put on all the stamps for all 50 Christmas cards, all by herself!

Something about him that day just made him seem so much more like a kid than a toddler.

Ahh, I hope I never forget these stages of their childhood!!!!

Funnies

Reid- sitting in his crib, not napping. He has been yelling for 20 minutes now and he just said "Is anybody out there? Who is out of my room? Hello? Mommy, I have a question for you! Is anybody there?!". Hahaha, I couldn't stop laughing!
Then when I finally went in to get him, as soon as I opened the door he says "Mommy, when I'm a teenager, can I have a shoot gun?!" (OMG, seriously?!)
-----------------

Sierra uses the word "human" instead of "people" and it often makes for some pretty funny sentences. The other day she wanted to hand out some crafts she had made. She said "I am going to take my pictures to hand out to some humans when I see them!".
--------------------

Reid, after rolling around on the rug, he said "Isn't that a cool trick?! I learned it at HEB."  :)
------------------

Sierra drew a picture, brought it over to me and said "here Mommy, this is for you and your husband." Then she looked over at Kyle and smiled. Precious :)

A real tea party

Our church had a mother - daughter tea party and it was so fun to get dressed up together for it! We got to eat cookies, cupcakes and tea for Mommy/chocolate for Sierra. We drank out of fancy tea cups and had a great time :)

The program was geared towards older kids but Sierra loved the singers!! After about an hour, she said "is it over yet?! This is the longest tea party eeeverrr!"

All she wanted to do was go outside and climb trees. So we snuck out early and did just that...in her fancy dress :)

Later that night at home, out of the blue, she said "Thank you Mommy for taking me to a tea party to have that special time together." I love love love my sweet girl :)

B&N

We love Barnes and Noble! So many fun things to read and play with!!
This picture is a great image into their personalities and how they like to play: Sierra hugging a stuffed trash can (it did have a raccoon inside. But the child will hug anything animal related). Reid roaring the big dinosaur. He is always pretending to be a bad guy, superhero or just making loud scary sounds.

Their animals are kissing :)
Hugging the big T-Rex, as if he were a sweet little baby. Haha, she makes me laugh!

Sweet siblings

Sierra just told me "Mommy, Reid is my favorite brother ever that God made because I love to play with him every single day!" :)

I love them!!! And I love that they are such good friends!!!

Avocado

Every time we eat an avocado (which is a lot around here), Sierra asks if we can plant the pit.

So finally, we did. It took almost 2 months, but we finally have a root!!! It's been so fun to watch it grow every day!

Sunday football

If football is on, the kids want to cuddle with Daddy and watch. True Texans :)
And sweet moments.

Napper

I asked Reid's teacher to send me a picture of him napping on his nap mat because I still can't believe that he naps every school day!!!

Here's the proof. Sweet boy :)

blessed by our family

Some recent sweet moments with our sweet loving grandparents, Aunties and cousins. We are so blessed!

Folding

Reid is currently obsessed with folding things. And he is extremely good at it, for a 2 year old! He asks for tissues, wipes, napkins, towels, etc to fold. He's precise, methodical, patient and focused. And when he's done, he takes it apart and does it again! Over and over!
He may have some inherited some of his Great Grandpa Yang's amazing Origami paper talents!

Fall

We breathe a sigh of relief when the temps start dropping ... and pull out our hoodies and coats! This year the kids have been so excited about wearing them - hoods on, hands in pockets. So cute. Sure wish Fall lasted longer than 4 weeks in Texas!!!

Baby Austin

I miss all the big events on this blog, but had to go back and add an entry about our sweet newest nephew, Austin Copeland Walker! He is already 1 month old!! Such a sweet good baby!!!

so small and cuddly :)
She was in love at first sight. She is so drawn to babies!
Washing those germs off
They sang Happy Birthday to Austin, in sweet quiet voices since he was sleeping, and then enjoyed some cupcakes in his honor!  :)

Names

Before she was one, Sierra named her favorite bear "Goo". Recently she has given him a middle name too. His whole name is "Goo Googie-goo Frazier".
:)

And she got a new bear for her birthday. It's full name is Candyland White Gray Frazier.

One last funny is that a new stuffed animal unicorn came with a name on its tag: Mystic. I told her and she liked it! ...but when she says it, you can tell she is pronouncing it like Miss Tick. So cute! Heehee :)

Funny things they say

WSierra, after having time by herself in her room to think about her behavior, comes out saying "Mommy and Daddy, I discovered something! I discovered how to listen and obey all the time forever!"
------------------

Reid: "this peach is so wobbly! I can't fork it!"
------------------

Sierra at breakfast: "I'm trying to decide if I'm going to have good behavior or bad behavior today...I haven't decided yet..."
-------------------

Sierra: "why Did God make us with chubby cheeks?"
--------------------

Sierra to Reid: "Reid, if you grow up to be as big as Daddy, you'll have a REAL beard! Isn't that funny?!"

------------------

In the car after picking up kids from school, Reid says "Mommy, I freaked out in my class when I could t get my shoe on!!"

---------------

As I was carving (or attempting to) a pumpkin, Sierra kept saying "Oh no!!!! Don't hurt the pumpkin!!!". She was really worried about it :)

Butterfly

My recent favorite of Sierra's artwork...

She did did this on the easel at Poppa and Lala's house...approx 10 minutes after she woke up one morning. The girl could draw and color all day!

September fun

On an evening walk to the mailbox and we ran into Dusty, the horse, and his owner. I love that this happened right across from our house! Sierra was so excited but terrified at the same time - she sat just barely long enough for a photo :)

Entertaining ourselves while Reid was getting his hair cut :)

Such a big boy! He sits sooo still the whole time - it's like the cape turns him into a statue! But every time I caught his eye, he gave me a little smile - sweet boy.
Jumping princesses...and little brother. We pull out the trundle often to let the kids jump on it - they call it a trampoline bed.

What I found after sierra's rest time - she had played dress up with her animals :)

Sierra's first ever gymnastics class!
