little helpers

While I unloaded the cold groceries into the fridge and freezer, these two were busy in the pantry. They did a great job and were mostly very helpful! ...I did find a couple veggies and one cold item stuffed to the back of the bottom pantry shelf, but I was very thankful for their help!

...they crack me up! It sure is hard to get real smiles once the camera comes out!!

Funnies

Sierra:

-  "Ok, whatever you say, Jose!"

- after Daddy told her a bedtime ("once upon a time") story: "thanks Daddy but I dont want to hear that story ever again"...she did say it in a very sweet voice ...and Kyle said it really wasn't a great story :)

Reid:

- while drinking a smoothie: "Can you take the lid off?" (takes a sip and looks up, with smoothie all over his face), "smoothie makes kids dirty. I'm a kid." then smiles his precious smile

Questions, Questions

Sierra is starting to ask some hard questions! Like: 

- "Who made God and Jesus?"

- "When is Jesus coming to take us to Heaven?" (She asks this one frequently)

- "Why can't we go to Heaven now? I want to go right now!"

- "

And she is not satisfied by "well, Sweetie, we don't know exactly when Jesus is coming, but we know that He will come."

Or "God has always been around, God is the beginning."

Haha, she just keeps pushing for more answers! I love the deep thinking but man she keeps me on my toes! It's hard for me to understand these things, let alone to explain to a 3 year old!

But I pray that she continues to desire to know Truth and that God will satisfy her completely only with Himself.

Puppy Love

this kid LOVES puppies!!! He sleeps with "puppy pillow" under his head, an arm around 2 puppies (in the photo are his faves: Pokey and Woof Woof), and about 4-6 other puppies lined up along the sides of his crib. Through the night you can find them piled up in a corner, with Reid lying on top of them! 

He always chooses 1 or 2 to bring downstairs with him when he wakes up and he knows where they are at ALL times! I love when he walks around with them ruled under his arms! Sweet boy!

Dance recital

Sierra's only been in dance about 3 months and already had her first recital! After dress rehearsal, she was sooooo excited and proud to dance th real recital! It was precious to be a part of the anticipation and joy with her!

And she did great :) She was probably the newest and youngest in the class, but her confidence and enjoyment (and coordination!) grew so much.

We are so proud of her!!!

Sierra's prayer

before dinner:
"Dear Jesus, Thank you for our food and for my recital and for Poppa and Lala coming. Please help us to obey Mommy and Daddy and God and Jesus. Help us not to disobey. And help us to sleep healthily. And we pray for all the people in the whole world. Amen."
