Baby Austin

I miss all the big events on this blog, but had to go back and add an entry about our sweet newest nephew, Austin Copeland Walker! He is already 1 month old!! Such a sweet good baby!!!

so small and cuddly :)
She was in love at first sight. She is so drawn to babies!
Washing those germs off
They sang Happy Birthday to Austin, in sweet quiet voices since he was sleeping, and then enjoyed some cupcakes in his honor!  :)

Names

Before she was one, Sierra named her favorite bear "Goo". Recently she has given him a middle name too. His whole name is "Goo Googie-goo Frazier".
:)

And she got a new bear for her birthday. It's full name is Candyland White Gray Frazier.

One last funny is that a new stuffed animal unicorn came with a name on its tag: Mystic. I told her and she liked it! ...but when she says it, you can tell she is pronouncing it like Miss Tick. So cute! Heehee :)

Funny things they say

WSierra, after having time by herself in her room to think about her behavior, comes out saying "Mommy and Daddy, I discovered something! I discovered how to listen and obey all the time forever!"
------------------

Reid: "this peach is so wobbly! I can't fork it!"
------------------

Sierra at breakfast: "I'm trying to decide if I'm going to have good behavior or bad behavior today...I haven't decided yet..."
-------------------

Sierra: "why Did God make us with chubby cheeks?"
--------------------

Sierra to Reid: "Reid, if you grow up to be as big as Daddy, you'll have a REAL beard! Isn't that funny?!"

------------------

In the car after picking up kids from school, Reid says "Mommy, I freaked out in my class when I could t get my shoe on!!"

---------------

As I was carving (or attempting to) a pumpkin, Sierra kept saying "Oh no!!!! Don't hurt the pumpkin!!!". She was really worried about it :)

Butterfly

My recent favorite of Sierra's artwork...

She did did this on the easel at Poppa and Lala's house...approx 10 minutes after she woke up one morning. The girl could draw and color all day!

September fun

On an evening walk to the mailbox and we ran into Dusty, the horse, and his owner. I love that this happened right across from our house! Sierra was so excited but terrified at the same time - she sat just barely long enough for a photo :)

Entertaining ourselves while Reid was getting his hair cut :)

Such a big boy! He sits sooo still the whole time - it's like the cape turns him into a statue! But every time I caught his eye, he gave me a little smile - sweet boy.
Jumping princesses...and little brother. We pull out the trundle often to let the kids jump on it - they call it a trampoline bed.

What I found after sierra's rest time - she had played dress up with her animals :)

Sierra's first ever gymnastics class!

First day of school!

We met the teachers last week and ever since, Sierra has been SO excited to start school again!! Reid - not so much. He kept asking if Sierra could be in his room or if he could go to hers. Sweet and sad.

This is Sierra's 3rd year (crazy!) and Reid's 1st. Daddy went with us and Sierra was really shy, not wanting to let go of Mommy's arm. But of course she did great and loved it - in her words, "it was pretty cool!". Reid whined for just a second, went in to his teacher's arms and didn't even cry! What a big boy! He did great too, but didn't nap - no surprise, especially since he's only napping 50% of the time at home anyway.

I feel very thankful and blessed by their teachers this year already. I just can't believe how big our kiddos are!

Here are a few "before" shots of the first day...I think Reid was in denial - he would  not even touch his backpack and kept scooting farther away from it...it was quite amusing (to us)

Sand "box"

Who needs the beach when you have a sand "box" (i.e. volleyball court) at the park down the street!

They had a blast!
