Language learning

"Reid, this is your new cup! Super cool, Reid!"
"Duder Daddy"
"Reid! Come here you stinker!"
Thank you, Mommy, for making this dinner for me!"
"Thank you, Daddy for making this English Muffin and banana and milk for me!"

"I went pee pee 3 times ago."
"My mommy takes care of me every time."
"Hi Mommy, nice to meet you!", as she sits next to me at the table
"I never saw this bathroom! It's beautiful!"

Me: "Sierra, let's look for a gift for Reid's birthday. But don't tell him! It's a secret!" ... She walks straight to him and whispers in his ear "I have a secret to tell you!"

Reid is 11 Months

At 11 months Reid loves:
* Crawling under the kitchen table and chairs
* holding and chewing on socks
* music! He bounces to every tune he hears, with a very big excited smile
* throwing things - he empties baskets, boxes, drawers, etc. by throwing each item over his shoulder

The little brother

We have all sorts of names we call Reid. Sierra also calls him these same names, and has even made up some of her own. It is precious!!

I love to hear Sierra say "it's ok, Sweet Boy, Mommy just went to the potty. She'll be riiight back!" or "Lean back, Bubbers".

Reid's other names:
Sweet Boy
Bubbs
Bubbers
Little Man
Reidy or Reidy Reid (Sierra made those up)
Duder (in honor of our friend John, the original Duder)

Here are some blurry pictures of the sweet boy

Friend of bears

Sierra has always loved bears - well, the stuffed animal ones; she can't decide if the real ones are cute or scary.

She is currently napping with a very large "big Goo bear" in her crib. And she insisted on laying her head on his belly - she fell asleep this way. Its adorable, but I fear she may have a crick in her neck when she wakes!

left, right, left...

Reid is getting better and closer to walking on his own every day!!

He will now walk while holding only one of my hands instead of two! And it's precious because his other hand goes straight out to the side for balance! He's still doing a bit of the straight leg walking, but once he figures out how to bend those knees, he'll be off...

Here he is behind the little stroller (yes, also his sister's idea)
