Circle of Life

This was the first time the kids watched "The Circle of Life" and "Hakuna Matata" on YouTube.

They were fascinated! Sierra asked questions nonstop the entire 4 min! I dont think she's ready for the theatre yet!

Reid has developed some dramatic expressions - I wonder who he learned those from...?!?!

On the road

Sunglasses: check
Water: check
Goo buckled: check

Ready to hit the road!

(Goo stayed strapped to her chest the entire trip!)

Reid's first haircut

Kyle and I had trimmed it a few times at home, quite unsuccessfully, but this was the first official haircut.

It was hard (for me) to finally do because: 1. it's expensive and 2. I love little boys with longish hair. But Reid's is so thick and straight, it was just "mushrooming" out.

He did GREAT!!! Not a tear or fuss. He loved the trains in the waiting area, the firetruck chair and the Elmo video - paid no attention to the hair cutting.

He always looks cute, but now has a slightly older look about him.

Before, during and after (fell asleep "reading" in the car on the way home) shots of our handsome little man:

First love?

These two are just a month apart and have never lived in the same city, but have played together a few times over the past two and a half years when the Banes visit.

This was last week. Completely unprompted. So sweet.

Little buddies

I love these little people!

Prayers

About a month ago, Reid started "praying" with us before meals. He folds his hands together and says "meh" really loudly and emphatically for "Amen".

Sierra has started praying more on her own and it is so sweet.

* ever since our visit to see the Carvajals a few weeks ago, every night she wants to "thank God for Isabella, Victoria, Alex and Anya" (Alex and Anya have been long time prayer requests)

* in the car yesterday, she was reading and all of a sudden stopped, folded her hands together and prayed "Dear God, thank you for the trees and for my whole family. And Dear God protect Reid and for me to not allergic to peanuts anymore so we can all eat peanuts together. Amen." And then she went back to reading. We've prayed together for God to heal her of allergies but I've never said anything about us all eating peanuts together. So sweet and makes me so sad at the same time. Yes, God, please answer that prayer.

* she often prays for God to "protect Reid's little body"

* last week there were a few nights in a row where as I was praying (out loud) with her, she had her eyes closed softly saying "that's right, that's right" over and over through my whole prayer. I giggled to myself! It was hilarious and I have NO idea where she got that from! No judgement at all for those who pray that way, but we don't so I can't figure out where she got it from. Too cute!
