Cheese in straw

I finally got a picture of the shredded cheese going into the straw...

Once he got a piece in, he would take a drink from the straw and giggle as he swallowed water and cheese together. Then he'd do it again...

IN things

Reid loves getting in things - boxes, baskets, suitcases, etc.

Can you find him in this picture?!

He only stayed like that for 30 seconds (as long as he stays still in any position these days), then sat up, then back down, etc.

Silly boy :)

Sunshine

Loving the sunshine and 70+ degree weather ... in February :)

Letter writing

Sierra has lived all things letters (and numbers) for quite awhile. She is currently interested in writing letters and words.

Our biggest challenge is her grip. She prefers her left hand but won't let me help her hold it correctly - and I'm not a lefty so it's hard for me anyway.

But we practice all the time!

After dinner the other night, I was writing a list of to do's. She wanted to make a list of letters. So we did the alphabet - I write each letter with dots and she connects the dots.

Here she is, concentrating very hard. So precious :)

Fix it man

Reid is always "fixing" thing these days.

He will find a stick, crayon, blade of grass, basically anything slim and then finds a hole to put it in. He's been doing this with food (shredded cheese, rice) into his straw for a very long time. He is very measured and precise.

But it has now changed to fixing things. If you ask what he's doing, he confidently answers "fixing it" or "fixing _____". At home he likes to knock over our plastic chairs and put crayons into the screws on the bottom. The tiny holes in door knobs are another favorite. He will do this quietly for 15 minutes!

And at the park he will put sticks in the playground screws over and over and over.

Will he grow up to be an engineer? Handy man? Architect?
