Some kind of switch went off in Reid's brain and this little 19 month old is talking like a 2 year old - correct pronouns, sentences and possessive words! You can literally have conversations with him! I am in complete amazement.
* I went to get him from his crib this morning and he only had 1 sock on.
Me: "where's your sock?"
Reid: "Reid take it off."
* I was sitting in one of the kids' chairs and he comes over and says "(ex)cuse me. That's Reid's" and starts to push me off the chair!
* he loves to point out what things belong to each person: " that's Mommy's coffee", "Reid's turn first", "that's Sierra's. This Reid's",
* he is really figuring out the difference between "you", "me", "it", etc. he doesn't get them all right but is getting more and more accurate.
* he now says "sit next to me" and "help me pease" instead of "you"
* he says "it" when it's an object: "put it down", "close it up"
* he says "yours" and "mine" correctly
* manners: they're not just memorized phrases, he adds "please" to every request/command: "uppy (up) pease Poppa" (that's the one we hear the most. Poppa trumps us all!, "coot (scoot) over pease", "read a book pease", "help me pease"
He also has a new sense of entitlement now that he communicates so much ... and has also become quite bossy and persistent with his demands!
But he has me cracking up all day long and that smile just melts my heart!
