here we are...4 days away from our due date...and still no signs that Sierra is ready to make her appearance
this is such a test in patience and trust in God's timing! i know that's good for us, but it's tough! i think the past few weeks have been harder because at the beginning of the month our doctor said it looked like i would go into labor early and wasn't likely to make it to my due date. so we all set our expectations for that and were as ready as we could be. however, every week since she said that we have received the opposite news - no dilation, no effacement, no signs...not going to happen this week.
yes, the doctor was wrong! can you believe it?! :)
so now we keep waiting. she could still come at any point, but it's just looking like if it were up to her, she would stay in there a few weeks late. most doctor's don't recommend waiting that long. so we've been given a tentative induction date of october 5, which really is just about a week away!
we'll see if she decides to come on her own before then...either way, we'll get to see her, hold her, kiss and squeeze her soooon!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!
those last 4 weeks i think are the toughest of all... did you try the full volume rapping? :)
ReplyDeleteJennifer - you look so adorable!!!! I am eagerly awaiting NEWS!!!! I know you must be so anxious, nervous, and excited!!! You and Kyle will be AWESOME parents!!!!! I love you both! Malinn
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! So glad I'll be able to keep up with the Frazier family. The doctor can only guess the date but God knows the day and time. After all He even knows the numbers of hairs on her sweet little head. I'm keeping you and Sierra in my prayers. Oh and I had to laugh at your swollen ankles and belly problems. Ditto on all of that when I was pregnant. I think all these shared experiences are what bond women for life. Only we can really sympathize!!
Love, Carol
Can't wait to see Sierra! Hang in there... and good luck with everything, you will do great :)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you're feeling. They never told me I'd be early, but they consistently told me she was not ready. In fact. I had an appointment the day after my due date and they scheduled me for an induction a week later b/c they said she was not budging. Less than 24 hours later, I went into labor! Hang in there, God's timing is so good and it will be the most amazing day of your life.
